JoFi-2

Predominantly instrumental, Jofi-2 is a halftime watercolor dreamscape of keyboard compositions and improvisations supported by Hip Hop-inspired beats all conceived in a string of sessions between 2020-2022. A forest at night, a coastline with a few small fires, a child’s conception of space. A walk down a familiar road with headphones on. Jofi-2 finds Macphail returning to the familiar mellow, impressionistic feel of Artattack as he straddles the complex dualities of incorporating darkness into art, and that art as a release- maintaining a sense of humor in fighting against the darkness. Classical, Jazz, Soul, a style of Funk inspired by Trap, Khaleeji and Gaelic music.
